The first time I went to a 99 restaurant, which was probably 2004, I hated it. Just awful food. For years I always described my experience eating their chicken to that of eating a hard sponge.
Went to the 99 today for lunch. Sat at the bar....seems to be quite a local favorite. Food was good, draught beer selection was ok for a chain. Service was phenomenal!! Michelle the bartender earned an exceptional tip when she told an older gentleman..."Tom" (who apparently will be spending Christmas alone) if he would come in next Sunday she would bring him something he could heat up on Christmas day so he would have something to eat! Brought me to tears. Always heart warming to still see good hearted people in today's world!! THANK YOU MICHELLE!!!!

Since then, I reluctantly went back only to find new menu items and an overall change. The food was awesome, I couldn't believe the turn around. It was a memorable experience and most of the time, I'd never describe a restaurant as memorable, but the food was so good and the service so lovely.
